Bathroom Remodel in Jersey City, NJ

A tired bathroom — pedestal sink, shower curtain, tub surround that had seen better decades — taken back to the studs and rebuilt with a completely different character. Demolition to finished in under two weeks.

The finished bathroom with a navy vanity, backlit mirror and brushed brass fittings

What This Project Included

Full demolition — tub, tile and fixtures out, back to the framing, so nothing new was built on top of anything old.
Waterproofing first — new cement board and a properly detailed wet wall before a single tile went up — the part nobody sees and the part that decides whether the room lasts.
Tile and stonework — large-format wall tile, patterned floor, and a new tub set level and supported.
Vanity, mirror and lighting — deep navy vanity with a stone top, brushed brass fittings, and a backlit mirror in place of the old fixture.
Glass in place of the curtain — a fixed glass panel on a brass rail, which is what makes a small bathroom read as a larger one.

Two weeks is only possible when the ordering is done before the demolition is. Tile, tub, vanity and glass were all on site before the first wall came out, so no day was lost waiting on a delivery — which is usually where a fortnight quietly turns into six weeks.
