Two Bathroom Remodels at Once in Hoboken, NJ

Two bathrooms in the same home, rebuilt at the same time — sequenced so the household was never left without one, and so the plumbing and tile crews worked both rooms on a single visit instead of coming back twice. Start to finish in three weeks.

What This Project Included

•Two rooms, one schedule — running both at once costs less and finishes sooner than running them back to back, as long as the sequencing keeps one bathroom usable throughout.

•Bonded waterproofing — a full membrane over the shower walls and pan, lapped and rolled, before any tile — visible as the red coating in the progress photos.

•Large-format tile — fewer grout lines across the surround, set with levelling clips so the faces sit flush.

•A tub in one room, a walk-in shower in the other — the tub set and supported, the old stall replaced with a walk-in shower behind a sliding glass door, and every valve roughed in and pressure-checked before the walls closed.

•Vanity, mirror and lighting — new vanity, mirror and lighting in each room, matched between the two.

Both bathrooms were finished in three weeks. Running them together is what made that possible — the plumbing and tile crews worked both rooms in the same visits instead of returning for a second job, and one bathroom stayed usable while the other was open.
